White Oak Coffee Table with Carbon Fibre Binding.
The carbon fibre details looks like black mother of pearl.
In these photographs you can see the full detail of the table, note the sparkle on the edge of the table and corner detail.
Nick Greenwood of Greenwood Restoration, Cornwall has combined traditionalmethods
with more modern materials.
One custom piece, a white oak cubist
coffee table, illustrates this best. Carbon fibre strands were
used to create an inlay on the surface of the table that when
polished appeared to resemble black mother of pearl. This complemented
the white oak perfectly and became a statement piece in the
customer’s home.
